It's clearly a recent decision to pivot in another direction. You could tell when comparing how all MCU stuff that came out was far more into development, while everything Star Wars related was basically power point titles.

They drastically changed course after Solo & RoS flat lined while Mando exploded.

Kathleen Kennedy probably salty af that the same nerds she called sexist for not liking Rey in the latest trilogy are geeking out about Ashoka,
Apparently it wasn't the gender they were hating on, they just didn't like the character.
Probably should've made the whole trilogy about her and Thrawn. let the skywalker saga end with return of the jedi like it should've.

I frequent a bunch of Star Wars sites, mainly collectibles, and there are a lot of people who hate Ahsoka, how she’s everywhere, and how Filoni is shoe-horning her into live action.

The hardcore Star Wars community can be pretty gross, and is commonly alt-right adjacent. I’ve seen people called Betas and Soy Boys over which action figure scale they prefer FFS

there will always be some toxic microcosms but i feel like in general Ashoka is well received by the general audience and Rey the general audience is pretty indifferent to.

A Droid Story? :pachaha:

I get that Disney does things like this on purpose to give technical experience to junior hires on assets they don't really expect to make a profit, but still. Every little thing doesn't need it's own show/movie.

Talk about going out of your way to water down your brand. :snoop:

If anything, this makes Star Wars way more accessible. How you have a galaxy an entire galaxy and only explore a couple different families?

There's a whole world out there that Lucas created and that the Expanded Universe explored in comics and shyt and finally we get to see some of that....

Which EU/Legends stories do you see making the transition successfully from novelization or comics to film?
