I don't know why I thought they were setting this in modern times but now that I know this is being set in the 1960s I am way more excited to see it.

He was the runner up to Bond for Casino Royale. It was down to him and Craig and he's said that if the opportunity came again, he'd gladly take over for Craig
I never thought of Cavill for Bond but after this trailer I can see it now.

This film does nothing for me.
If he isn't in his mid 40s by then sure but I'm always a fan of a bond who starts in his early to mid 30s

That way you can get some years out of him, as fukked up as that sounds. Craig started when he was 36 which is a good age and would've had at least 4 movies under his belt by now if not for MGM's financial trouble after quantum of solace. But if you start in your mid 40s, that means that in theory, you're playing Bond as a 50 or 55 year old man and I have no interest in that whatsoever, regardless of how much I like the actor. I think that's why Craig is going to be done after the next one following Spectre. He'll be 47 next year and probably be 49 or 50 when his time is up and that's the perfect time to say bye bye
