I thought this was a dying trend.
Everyone on my campus started rocking the manbun with the bushy beard look last year. It was the instagram/tumblr #MenzwareZ (
) hype, and I personally didn't have beef with it. It was a cool look.
But like with anything trendy, that shyt got run into the ground. I think the worst part was that dudes were so eager to get a manbun that they never fully grew their hair long enough to make it into a proper bun. Everyone wanted the tapered sides and long hair on top look, so most of them dudes was walking around with hair whose length would've been better suited for the slick back look, but they instead had a miserable bun, looking like they had a dangling piece of shyt perpetually hanging over the back of their head.
By the end of the year, damn near everyone who wasn't bout it got a different cut, but the fools who been about it still had their hair.
Trendhoppers never win.
