That "Gave You Power" tidbit about the opening lines :laff:

It Was Written wasn't outright pandering to White America but it was made with White America in mind. And you can tell. I barely listen to any songs off the album.

Album is a showcase for his skill. Has some of the best lines of his career, you should have another listen.

'It seems I'm ghostly called by the essence of Queens
The palm lady dreamt of this day, so I'mma play
The crib close smokin' with the big toast and lay'
