the internet
Im reading through this thread now.
Im really going to put some time into this and see where it takes me.
damn brehs...
time flies :to:

When I made this reply I was already obsessed with the idea of making money online (without a job)...
I was reading every book I could find...reading every thread online I could find.

A month after writing that I quit my job and never looked back.

I had $15k saved up and it was going to be my seed money and keep me afloat while I figured things out...
looking back it was dumb as hell :mjlol:

My first try was buying store returns and bulk supply from these companies in the midwest...
most of them ended up being Amazon returns.

I made a little money but probably broke even...
I think by the end of the year I started running out of money and realized it wasnt going to work long term.

I started going into thrift stores and estate sales and finding mens clothes to resell on ebay...
I actually did pretty good doing it

I didnt even have a car at this point...I was riding my bike everyday to thrift stores within a couple hours of a bike ride (got in decent shape doing this)...
I ended up saving up enough to buy a car and made things easier

I think my best year I made close to $100k

Long story short I tried a bunch of shyt...
went broke and made money back several times...

The last time I went broke I was BROKE BROKE...
my long time girlfriend got sick of it and broke up with me for good

Had to sleep on a family friends couch till I found a shytty basement apt in the hood

3 years straight I did nothing but hustle for money reselling...
I was in thrift stores, estate sales, craigslist, fb marketplace...EVERYWHERE

15 hour days everyday...
gym in the morning and then working till I go to bed

I eventually worked my bankroll up to $10k --> $20k --> $50k...
this was around 2019

My bankroll got to the point where I needed to do something with the money while I figured out what I was going to do next...
This is when I got into Bitcoin

While I was driving around looking for inventory to sell online I listened to podcast and books about Bitcoin...
It became my next obsession

Every Monday I bought more Bitcoin as my long term savings account...
this eventually turned into me buying ETH...

The Covid market crash of February 2020 happened and I went ALL IN on crypto and the stock market

The rest is history...im straight chillin now :banderas:

everytime i think about reselling on amazon or ebey the profit margins do't seem worth it

put me on to bitcoins? still worth it
how much do you really have to have to start out?
are you living off the dividends or still selling?

one thing ive learned is everything can work

Its about how dedicated you are...
how much effort are you willing to put in?
are you willing to go through that learning curve period?
how bad do you want it?

most people put in minimal effort and dont give it enough time

people underestimate how much focused time and work it takes to make shyt happen...
but they also overestimate how hard it is to make money

Amazon can work but its highly competitive...
its been years since I did retail arbitrage on AMZ but I do remember it being a game of bobbing and weaving...
you'll find one lick thats good for a bit and then you have to move on once other people find it

re Crypto: I honestly wouldnt get into it unless you 100% believe in the space.
Most people I tell to buy some BTC/ETH and use them as a savings account and hedge against inflation

Most people get in with dreams of making millions but end up losing everything...
For whatever reason im good at it

TLDR pick something you can put your everything in...
unless youre naturally gifted youre going to have to damn near dedicate your life to it

its been my observation most people just dont have it...
they want to socialize with their family/friends...
they want to relax...
they care more about looking good in front of other people

nothing wrong with that...
but those attributes make it so they are better off finding a trade/skill and mastering it so they can not think about work when they arent at work

Everyone I know thats a successful business owner, self employed or a trader lives and breathes what they do
