on a day-to-day basis i agree. she didnt fit the show without michael so there were moments where they could really go off the rails with the infighting. that being said, her perspective being gone is a loss overall because i think sam's audience includes a lot of people who still only imagine the world through the existing lens and not through a theoretical lens of what it could be. this is very limiting on certain issues where reform is simply not a good enough answer for the problems we are facing. i really wish she could continue coming in on thursdays with old matt, because i think the normie progressive audience still needs to be exposed to something more radical in small doses.I'm gonna keep it a stack I appreciated Jamie's prospective but as an objective viewer the show will be better without her

Jamie was cool, but watching the episodes throughout the last few months, I mostly just felt Michael's voice missing that bothers me.

i saw people saying griscom should replace jamie, and dead ass as a leftist who can articulate his opinion, he'd be a step up, but i don't really see that either.

Jaime should have been gone a LONG time ago though. She's like 34 too. Which is wild she's so immature. She just couldn't pull her own weight and it was obvious.

michael filled that gap and way more. i hope that they can find someone half as good, because sam/emma dynamic is boring me.
I dont get this hesitation to critique Jamie. She OFTEN got caught flat footed and was just saying dumb shyt. And honestly, she was too nihilistic knowing the stakes.

Its not personal. But its a specific critique. I didn't say she was a bad person. I'm talking about THAT role on THAT show. It didn't work. Her own podcast is fairly interesting and she meets the bar there. But Sam is just too wonky for her.

Yeah. Caught the tale end of it but was a great listen. That segment with Pascal talking about the Dem fundraising machine and connections to real estate out in Cali pretty much ensuring no viable challengers from the left have a snowballs chance in hell was pretty demoralizing though.
