I think this is overblown as Washington isnt a pace offense, maybe the explosive plays make people think they are but they huddle and shift and motion essentially milking clock like a michigan team (They both are in mid 60s plays per game.. only seperated by 3 spots nationally). They arent Tenn or Ole miss when it comes to pace, they can run tempo (and I would against this mich defense to not let them get comfortable) but they arent tempo team. If its a slower pace game they will still be comfortable as they do there work in 60 ish plays.. They dont need 90 plays to do their work or tempo teams..
Edit: Also want to add, Mich usually plays a veryyy clean game. So them slowing a game down and being cleaner than opponent is something they are used to I think they are +15 in turnover margins #2 in nation and #2 in penalties.. When watching film their defense swarms to ball and they tackle very well in space and rarely busted coverage.. I can see why they say they squeeze life outta you.. But a couple mistakes can swing game as we seen they seemed in control against Bama but turnovers almost let the game slip away..
