I liked it and don't regard watching this. I give it a 7/10
I don't think I seen anything with Cole Domingo in it, he is a really great actor, and glad Philly is onscreen.
I am surprised this thread is so small. I thought every one here would be watching this.
I guess the audience here is more than I thought.
Speaking of I think the themes in the show were very good and should be explored more, the lone white guy who is just trying to belong to something, the white families who think the white race is being exterminated and want to stop it, the cacs that are gun nuts and/or anarchists, the white guys who run corporations and insidiously promote white supremacy, the buying of politicians and networks.
The last movie that I can think of that explored this was Soft and Quiet. It had some of the above themes, but was billed as a horror/thriller movie.
I just don't think a tv show would be made about the above topics, because white folk don't want to look in the mirror.
I guess CNN could give a shyt about its reputation, since it was not featured in the best light on this show.
Soundtrack was fire.
I do agree it fell off after episode 4, it seems to escape every time he gets shot at. WTF? The lady hitman was moving sloppy, I just don't think a professional would have that many bodies in her wake.
Cops are mad annoying. Their first instinct is to always accuse the person who reports the crime smh.
Like use your critical thinking skills for one second. This nikka is supposed to be this universe's version of Marc Lamont Hill.
Why on earth would Marc Lamont Hill dismember a body? Like BFFR. That's some gruesome Narcos sh*t. Even if you thought he killed him, you should be smart enough to know no ordinary civilian who killed someone by accident is gonna cut up their body into pieces. Only psychos have the stomach for that.
Lost a few steps after the first episode. Kinda predictable, the first one felt more grounded and interesting. When it goes into conventional thriller mode:
-embracing old roots
-reuniting with daughter
-helped from unlikely places
it wasn't as strong, as the story of a kinda conflicted kinda celeb interacting in his world. Still have 4 episodes left.
