Just listened to the whole project and it's awful. Outside of What Else You Need To Know, The Family, Move Forward and Filthy America, the whole album is uninspiring and nothing special. This is what happens when you make mixtape after mixtape. They don't know how to really structure an album and it becomes a bunch of songs put together and thrown out there.

Mixtape after mixtape also makes albums less special. Especially when some mixtapes use original production and are just called "mixtapes" by name, but are basically albums.

This ia 100% true. Besides Gangsta And A Gentleman (which aint a classic either) the Lox have nothin but a catalog full of mediocre albums. This is why I question callin them a legendary group

gave it one spin so far and it's a solid album. lyrically on point but the flow and sound of the album is everywhere. they have some of that classic lox sound/beat mixed with some catchy bounce tracks. idk if they're trying to appeal to more ppl or it just happened that way but they could've done without it.

Not to derail this whole shyt or do a false dichotomy, because there are plenty of all time great rappers that also did mixtapes. But think about some of the true contenders for GOAT status, and think about how many mixtapes they did. Not a lot.
