I had one on my patio a few months ago. I went outside to throw out some garbage and it was in the corner; not close to the garbage or recycling tho. It eventually went away (and it wasn’t aggressive) but I never messed with it, just in case it did have rabies.

I used to think they go hide when it gets light out, but last year I did the recycling, and one was chilling on my neighbor’s porch like:



And I used to see them all the time in the morning when it was still dark on my way to work. They’re heavy out here.
