What do you feel are important qualities that a man must have in order for you to feel that they're relationship material?

Educated, stable, employed (yes, this is a quality), compassionate, and family oriented.

I also have a need to feel protected. I am able to take care of myself but as a woman with some old school values I need to feel like the man I'm with will protect and stand up for me.

What do you feel are important qualities that a man must have in order for you to feel that they're relationship material?

I want to feel included so I'm including myself.

Responsibility: doing what needs to be done and not making excuses for his actions or inactions.
Generousity/caring: How kind is he to me, himself and others. Is he attentive to my needs and feelings?
Honesty/communication skills: ties into responsibility. Be upfront, self-aware and talk to me so we can solve stuff together. Be open and vulnerable to help nurture our relationship.
Of course, Attractiveness. Without this, there is no relationship. Physical and just feeling comfortable and wanting to be around each other.

Specific qualities, having his own life, respecting my personal time, not being clingy, must love physical touch and cuddling, and at least dogs.
