I work in a school.

To ensure no Bill Cosbys are employed, the Department of Education publishes a list, which Principals check against before hiring anybody. This system has apparently worked well for decades.

Today, I was forced to pay $80 to a government agency for a compulsory background check that is valid for 5 years. The check basically involves a check of databases (eg: police database) to make sure you have been a good boy/girl.

So, in short, the Government told me I had to pay money to the Government so they can check the Government's databases if I wanted to continue working for the Government.

I had to pay the people who my taxes already pay for, to check their own databases, for the privilege of continuing to work for them.

I want to get to a point where eating "healthy" is the norm. There are people in this world that really don't eat junk food :ohhh: I remember a while ago I saw this program where this woman went cold turkey on junk food. She said something like "I realized that if I want to be healthy I can't have that stuff anymore". I want that realization. Or I just need to stop watching my 600lb life.
