I understand where you're coming from but it's more nuanced than that.
As
@Kant mentioned, in her upbringing there was a division of labor which was gender specific but not oppressive.
Your experience may differ but that doesn't automatically make yours right and hers wrong.
You mentioned yourself that the "coddling" phenomenon is a by-product of single mother homes.
But that is a description of a dysfunctional family model.
With children being expected to fulfill roles properly assigned to adults.
I was raised in a 2-parent household, I imagine Kant was too.
Having witnessed gender-roles performed dutifully and to the benefit of the family as a whole, I have no negative prejudices towards them.
