Kimmy was raw.
I still always preferred Foxy for a couple different reasons.
Recorded some DC last night....
Breh you was bashing yo way in to get to the front.
You play racing games a lot breh?
As a kid, everyone preferred Kim over Foxy. I was more intrigued by Foxy. She was so dark skinned and exotic. Different what I was used to seeing (aside from some of my family on my dad's mother's side). Long Black hair, nice body, long nails, dark lipstick, white ass teeth. The duration of elementary- high school my classmates would say I looked like her, so I really became biased and gravitated toward her. She went out of the limelight/ hiatus for years and I forgot about her, then when she got on Sisqo's Thong Song remix when I was in 6th grade, the kids kept saying I looked like her and I started really getting into her. Then a year later she dropped Broken Silence and I related to that so strongly. The whole album is basically about rising from the ashes and coming back from falling off and about her being an outcast/the black sheep. So beyond the physical looks/connection, I started relating to her perspective.Foxy Brown was dope, she sounded like such a gangster lol. Sad about her hearing condition tho.

I had her on my binders, notebooks, in my locker. They used to call me Baby Foxy in high school.Interesting. I never connected to an artist that closely growing up. I didn't start paying attention to lyrical content until I was an adult.
