Its an older thread nobody has even replied to in 2 weeks.which one?
They just did it, was painful but not what I'd call surgery- used two big needles to pop/drain them and I felt a million times better already. They're keeping me overnight to make sure I can swallow and eat well- I was starving, haven't eaten since Tuesday morning it was so painful. My throat been hurting early this week and losing my voice. Last night I couldn't breathe at all so scheduled an appointment (since it was all mouth area) with the dentist, she told me immediately to go to the ER. Now I'm at the hospital waiting for them to clear me for surgery to drain abscesses in my throat.
Good luck hun. Glad they were able to treat you. the doc who removed them (An Ear Nose Throat specialist) said its pretty common for tonsils/strep to get infected but mine was a particularly horrible case. Didn't give specifics so I have to assume it was buildup, like probably multiple times it had been warning me when it was sore and I disregarded.Good luck hun. Glad they were able to treat you. Wtf? That's insane. Did they mix you up with someone else?.the doc who removed them (An Ear Nose Throat specialist) said its pretty common for tonsils/strep to get infected but mine was a particularly horrible case. What was strange as fukk-the ER i went to for the first time, that doc diagnosed it and told me what would happen at the hospital I was getting transferred to yaddayadda. Imagine my surprise when the admitting doc at the hospital tells me:
"hi Ms Yin, so I know two things about you from the ER doc You're having a really hard time with strep throat right now; and you're HIV positive."
I said what the fukk, no I'm def not. He showed me the doc's notes which have "patient has history of HIV" and shyt all throughout it. Not only do I KNOT have a "history of HIV" I've never shown any results other than non-reactive/negative in my life.
I have no idea, the doc is trying to give him the benefit of the doubt he misheard me when I was talking but tbh other than one center/network here that I usually use but it's a little far- I'm really not impressed with the care available. I let them run a test here too just in case (negative/non-reactive) and the doc is gonna call him to let him know to take that shyt off his notes. Let me see if I can sue fukk thatWtf? That's insane. Did they mix you up with someone else?.
