Hollywood is done. It’s dead.
From a technical standpoint, there’s no more juice left to squeeze out from the traditional way record labels and movie studios have been using talent, making money, etc for the past 60-70 years.
Look at how some of the OG’s have cashed out over the past ten years by selling their music catalogues back to the labels. Labels have been seeing this shyt coming for nearly 20 years and have been dangling millions in front of these older musicians faces to sell back rights..and a few famous artists have LOST THEIR LIVES over this namely Prince and Michael Jackson.
The rest of these motherfukkers are expendable because they aren’t as profitable..that’s why you’re seeing these artists now constantly touring and putting LP after LP out in short time or outright doing criminal acts to make money. Diddy takes up too much space in a pool that’s getting small..black folks who got caught with their hand in the honeypot are going to get clobbered especially Oprah and Jay Z. With regard to them kids, they need to stay away from that wreckage..they have all the tools available to them to be independent and do grassroots. If they’re lazy, they can still get a record deal but it will be on ONEROUS terms.
