Don't even play with it. I started a "Sober October" challenge with my friend group 3 years ago. It's quite the challenge cause that's when all the sports are going and we really go hard. Year one, one of my boys gave up the squares (cigs) cold turkey. Day 4 I'm telling him how proud him I was, I know it ain't easy etc. thinking he wouldn't make it through but he did.
Midnight November 1st, 2019 he sparked one up and ain't put em down since now he got his CDL and on the road and I think the habit is worse than it's ever been. It's crazy how them hoes have a hold on people. His grandma was a smoker and died of cancer. At the funeral his momma pleaded with the family to stop smokin, we walked out the funeral home into a could of Newport and Kool 100s
I'm good. Went from being able to walk/run a couple miles with no problem to barely being able to make it half a block before being out of breath. shyt just came outta nowhere and lasted a week. Not going through that shyt again. Ain't bought a pack, loosey, or bummed a stogie since.
The smell alone makes me gag, now.
