My perspective:
I started working in the backroom. I was so anti social at the time cause I was just focused on the objective.
Not gonna hold you but when I first started, I had a lot of shyt talked about me. Felt like I was at a Wendy's Williams episode
. People joking about my "turtle like," performance, I joked back with humor cause confidence seals the deal. Crying about shyt is being weak we strong over here.
One day, my supervisor saw me engaging with the customers while being a greeter. That's how I quickly became promoted.
Not gonna front, I'm just playing the game. When I first got hired, I seduced both of my managers with no fear, quickly got on their good side. It's second nature to me.
My personality is I'm naturally low-key and chill, but I warm up when given the time. Living enigma as you can tell.
My female coworkers find me attractive. Since I'm black, have a Kanye face and physical built, they're intimidated af unless I smile and do some Kevin Hart shyt. A battle of distinct personalities, but being adaptable is how you prosper.
There's a lot of gossip even between coworkers that's why I avoid the break room.
My coworkers respect me, due to my past traumatic experiences, it's takes time for me to open up cause "coworkers aren't your friends" situation.
If you want to date a coworkers find the ones that are low-key and work in different departments, a chick making a scene will fukk that money up juu heard!
Personally, I rather bag chicks outside retail. Passive aggression ain't my vibe.
This job is cool but
high-key I'm trying to dip around summer to work for IT or find some remote jobs to generate income to start my own business.
Retail is great for folks who want to build their social skills, learn about the fashion game and business, also marketing.
Just know that it's underpaid and overworked, your value is worth more than minimum wage and being trapped in retail can kill your spirit.
