There was a black hunter before Elmer Fudd. I think he morphed from that to the Elmer we know today
Speaking of which I was watching some old Tom And Jerry shorts and the black woman actually owned Tom and the house they were in. I thought she was just the maid.
And speaking of houses, man I just walked into the nastiest, most filthiest house I have ever imagined. 
Hoards of pure trash like in every corner, not a hoarder of souvenirs, just pure trash. Walked downstairs and it was cluttered with trash that looked like it’s been stacked for years. I had to watch my step and couldn’t see the steps because of the trash. The place is unlivable and if there were kids living their (which there wasn’t) then I would be inclined to call child protection services. I can’t see how any adult could live in such filth
