Nah, it's fukking bad. Even toasters are now having production down due to shortages. Problem is, I've dealt with this industry and defense/aerospace/auto/medical are top priority. Until their needs are met everyone else can pound salt.

I called a friend of mines in DC and basically he explained it as last year that Trump was really pressing the telecoms to fully pursue getting the 5G network up to snuff nationwide..now due to the pandemic last year and slowing sales a bunch of car manufacturers cancelled ordered for chips and the telecoms went ahead and put in massive orders for chips. You’re right, in that categorization.. my understanding is this 5G thing is considered an issue of great importance, almost to the scale of it being a national security issue as the 5G network is needed for next generation military applications.
