Why don't more people read comics? Literally most money making movies and shows come from comics. Do people not like reading?

Yes plus it's hard to for someone to get into comics when you think about how a comic will have it's own solo run then it branches off into another story or another characters comic is going on while the series is going on so you can go from one book about this character to all of a sudden x character is now in this book but the main story you're reading doesn't go into why this character is here so you have to read that character's book. Among a bunch of other things (which can be a great thing if done right). Plus it's just easier for people to consume by sitting down in front of their tv or phone and consume a movie.

It is, but not everyone is about trying to read Volume 2 XXX Book 2 to learn about characters. They rather be feed it through easier and simpler means. Which is understandable
