Watching 10 minutes of this really rubbed me the wrong way.
1. Wheres the parents for the kids accused of the crime?
2. This is what really is bothering me at the moment. Why are these kids being questioned by these cops without their parents or their guardian present or without a lawyer?
shyt brought me back for a second. Being that this was the 90s, there was a crime wave and they also were going after kids especially black kids. The prison system was snatching up kids left and right. Now when I think about it, I realized that they tried to come for me too on some false accusation shyt as a kid. Being accused of theft. The thing is I too had a grown ass man who was a security guard standing in front of me... a black man at that, doing the same thing to my brother and me to that kid in that interrogation room. Its was like I had to plead with him that we were innocent and he didn't believe me until i got my mother involved. I could only imagine how that kid must have felt if he really didn't do it.
And to imagine having grown adults talking about like these kids are just like adults. Its disgusting.
