I'm also tired of the delusion of "nice guys" and men being leaders. You can be a nice person but not have the lifestyle/personality/habits conducive to being a good partner or leader.
Older men living with parents is a prime example. If the best your life decisions could yield is with your parents, a woman may be rightfully hesitant about dude's ability to "lead" her any further past that. The same way men are hesitant when a woman isn't domestic. All of it's rooted in trite traditional ideology that doesn't work for most people anymore. I'll bytch about that later.
