Listening to other people’s relationship problems can really give you some perspective.
I was just on the phone with my home girl and she’s venting to me about her break up and the final straw that broke them.
Her - “...So we’re in the house with his brother and we start arguing. I get mad and throw the clothes hanger at him and you know how nikkas are. He jumps on me and start punching me in my face and slapping me. I’m begging him to stop because how he gonna do me like that in front of his brother? He could have at least waited for his brother to leave to fight me like that. It was embarrassing.
Me - (on the other end of the phone)
Ummmm....yeah, Girl. He....he ain’t have to do you like that.
Her - EXACTLY! So anyway....he leaves and I start calling him back to back begging him to not leave me and to come back so we can work it out. Is it crazy that I don’t want him to leave me?
Me -
I didn’t want to sound like I was judging so I just made sure to let her know that she deserves better and that if she needs me, that I’m here to talk.
