Glad you're enjoying yourselves. When I got your post last night I was out driving around SF getting some air with my wife and daughter. Took them on a little voyage through the mission, which in turn gave them a little graffiti tour on the side. My cousin and his friend Mike "Dream" actually pioneered the graf scene out here in the 80's. Lots of their work was heavily politically themed. Dream was killed in 2000, and has lots of dedication murals still running out there in the east. My cousin is still active though, in fact we caught one of his pieces last night during our drive.

The area where my girl's parents live is surrounded by big ass hills and some nice looking park

Is the Vallejo over here where Mack 10 is from?
Or is there another city or neighborhood named Vallejo near Los Angeles?

I always thought Mack 10 was from near Los Angeles and Vallejo was a city near it

yup, despite its bad rep, vallejo is pretty chill too. Lived out there for a couple years and connected with a bunch of really solid people that I’m still in touch with to this day.
