My daughter does not apply herself with math and then I’m all “if Johnny had 10 mf’n Apples...” I really love math and I hate when people don’t get it, even my own. Help me, Jesus.

She’s in algebra. There are plenty of resources, she just doesn’t apply herself. Won’t look at the class notes or ask questions. I get so mad!! She gonna be a 7th grade drop out.Have you tried LEGOs? They’re a godsend with fractions. Candy (or fruit snacks) is good for basic addition and subtraction
I feel your pain ! You have no idea how many times I was like:
If Ben has 4 apples and gives 3 to Sarah, how many apples does he have left!?!?!Come on P jr.!!!
IF BEN HAS 4 DAMN APPLESAND GIVES 3 TO SARAH, HOW MANY APPLES DOES HE HAVE LEFT?!?
( I’m thinking, in my head of course.... the boy might be slow...)
It’s a part of parenting , my boy is in the IB program (pre-IB right now)and he’s taking college courses next year in the 10th grade ( it’s free)
It just takes time boo I promise
If I say step 1 is to do xyz, she does it. Step 2, blah blah blah, she does it. I shouldn’t have to stand there for 6 similar problems that require the same damn steps to solve over and over again. She about to be in kindergarten math. I could handle that.
I truly believe some peoples brains aren't wired for math. Then for some it comes on later in life. (I got good at it in college, due to the failures of the non-caring bullshyt teachers in the poorer houston area public schools).

He already bout to be married and got offspring so he don't need no dikk no more in case it explode or something
Lol she is older...7th grade. I’m putting her back in kindergarten math for my sake.I thought your kid was older for some reason. Just give it time
Lol noo don’t say that boo! My son is in Algebra 2 but my real problem with him is English!!! He’s 14 (15 next week) and he’s amazing in math, just a few concepts he had trouble with early on.
Girlll I almost cussed him smooth out with this essay he almost submitted.
I was like WTF is this?!?!!!! There was no structure, it didn’t make any sense and I was like how many of these has he submitted? He about get kicked out the program!
I was in IB , so I know what they expect and that essay just wasn’t it. Not gone lie, I took his ass to the doctor for an assessment
I might need an assessment. What I need to be is adopted. I know it’s a rich old couple that wants a kid and grandkid.
Then his old ass gonna want some sugar!!! My well is dry.Yeah, you’re a real parent!!!!
Sometimes I was like, if I drop him off at my mothers and go to another state under a different name, I know he’ll be taken care of by my family...
What you need is a sugar daddy that ain’t got no kids and wanna have that family experience
