For a moment it seemed there would be the beginning of a consideration of a possibility of a chance of understanding between the races.....for one week. Then we switched back to COVID. It just proves this country can't focus on two issues at once. We're back to the status quo of victim blaming/shaming, cops closing ranks, cops getting off scot free (Breonna Taylor's killers - they didn't even lose their jobs smh), and #AllLivesMatter/#BlueLivesMatter bullshyt. Seems like all that momentum was lost in an instant. Like a switch was flipped. Now there's a rash of lynchings sweeping across the country. Check back in two weeks isn't just for COVID bragging rights anymore. Feels like literally a moment in time.
