Prodigy snapped on this verse. Funny because I used to be prodigy stan 20 years ago. Dude really inspired me heavy at that time. Had me swagger walking from the 8th grade to my freshman year of high school with mean mug. Folks really thought I was from the streets or a straight up thug or was going to kill somebody.
I stopped being a prodigy stan shortly after his solo album dropped a year later. It was the combo of him falling off heavy where he was rapping like how he was on murda muzik and the above song (HNIC was a very disappointing album to me. I literally was hyped the whole year and saved up my lunch money for that shyt. I expected a classic but he dropped the ball), him getting slaughtered by Jay z (hate to say it), that weak ass response he did to the hail Mary beat and lastly infamy. That album was trash. Only two good songs-get away (which I hated at first) and crawlin. I hated that burn record and the 112 joint. I had the bootleg and yeah, that's when I stopped being a stan. I was also messing with wu tang heavy at the time mostly gza and ol dirty. I became a GZA stan eventually. Prodigy at his prime was a beast but GZA always been a beast. Never fell off. RIP to prodigy though.
