Never met her before
But I think I like her like a metaphor
It's hard to get
In the car we sit
From the intro
She rolled down her window
Just in case I was a schitzo

I compliment her on her common sense
I'm calm
A lil more confident
And then we lose consciousness

She says "that I've been waiting for you
And I know you been chasing me too
Since they kidnapped me from a castle
I been thinking of you"

In 1950, most blacks lived in the Crenshaw District near downtown Los Angeles and in Watts and Compton, according to the Los Angeles Community Development Department. By 1980, however, primarily black areas of Los Angeles County had expanded west past Inglewood and north past Culver City into the Wilshire District bordering West Hollywood and Beverly Hills.

Although the development has produced several neighborhoods with significant number of affluent blacks such as Ladera Heights and Baldwin Hills, Fox Hills has carved out a special niche as the area where younger black professionals gravitate, primarily because of its location,
Heer said.

Los Angeles International Airport is five minutes away; downtown Los Angeles is a 30-minute drive. The mall is within walking distance to the Marina and several beaches are only five to 10 miles away.

Since then, the once mostly white community has become one of the most racially mixed areas in Southern California, with blacks now comprising about 40% of the area's 4,800 residents, according to 1980 census figures.

Almost simultaneously, the area has become a social mecca for blacks who come from as far away as Pasadena and Gardena in hopes of meeting a mate with an up-scale job.
