I used to go ot playing rewinding nonstop on my moms mixtape she got way back in the 70s (74 to be exact) in my Fisher price tape player when I was 5. I remember the track listing too. Before the shaft theme was Johnny nash I can see clearly now and after shaft was the original everlasting love song by Robert ????? Lol..... that whole time period was weird as fukk. It was a bit depressing especially since it was right after the 04 election and folks were already fukked up over Bush getting 4 more years. A lot of people were paranoid. It was a bleak time so folks were on edge, ready to flip out. Just happened to be my first semester at community college.
