Speak your truth, speaking my truth, speak his truth, speak her truth
*insert here* culture
I really can't stand the first two cliches though. Those terms are straight up bullshyt especially especially the speak your truth one. If you want to drop an opinion or viewpoint, that's fine but that shyt doesn't mean that it's the truth. I think the ultimate downside of the internet especially social media is that people can create and lie about themselves and their lives and literally convince themselves of their shyt. This is why we have someone like Shaun king and all these frauds running around being taken seriously. Anyone can create a fukking life, lie about themselves, be anything they want to be and get full support. It's disgusting.
See the thing is at least 15 years ago, people respected the truth or when people would tell the truth about themselves. There was no "speak your truth". You just said what was going on in your life and if you were lying, people would catch on to that shyt and eventually you had to face the music. Even if you knew the truth and were lying, eventually you were going to own up to it and people would let you live. The truth was respected. Even if folks thought you were a loser or a bum, if you admitted things about yourself that wasnt so good folks respected that shyt. Why can't folks keep it real with themselves or just be real or let's be real with the world period. fukk this fantasy bullshyt
