A friend asked if anyone checked their old food stamp cards to see if there is money on it. I replied that I shred mine because I'm never going back. She went on a rant about being humble and never knowing when your situation can change, etc. I responded that I'm humble but also putting it into existence with actions to follow that I won't have to return. Why is wanting to never return to poverty somehow not being humble, but for anything else it's speaking it into existence?

Why would you want to be back on food stamps anyway? LOL although I had food, I still didn't have money to do anything fukking else. Barely had electricity to cook the food. smh.
