I have not encountered a greater joy than to rest my eyes on my children after a long day and they sit up to greet me with smiles.
I labor for you, for your mother and the continuation of the household that you all may grow securely but money is not the treasure that I covet, none of the things material mean anything to me in comparison to you. You, my children, are my eternal treasure and I will never hesitate to testify of this and my enduring love for you.
It's my hope that both of you excel to a greater standing than that of me and your mother to the benefit of the world at large. My failures are many and the wounds of my mistakes never fade but in this thing, when I'm called down to the grave, I can go down in joy and honor that my children will succeed me faithfully.
