Black people use sunscreen? How? Why? I thought we had built in sunscreen?
Yes and no. Sun exposure causes us to produce more melanin which is technically our built in sunscreen but overtime it leads to sun damage. A lot of the issues I have with my skin such as unevenness, milia, and texture are a result of me not using sunscreen so I’m going to be more proactive in keeping my youthful glow:smile:

True to life. All the melanin pride in the world don't protect you from the sun. I had even, glowing brown skin coming up, so looking at old pics got me like:letyasoulglow:

Now the fukking rough texture and hyperpigmentation...uneven dark spots are the WOAT. #5 on my to-do-list for this year is to see a dermatologist.
