If anyone has the opportunity I'd highly suggest moving to a metropolitan area. I'm from a small town in GA (Nikka's would real life get out of football practice and ride their horse) but spent the last 5 yrs in Atlanta. Best thing that could've happens to me. Exposed me to a lot and how to move thru this life as an adult. Also showed me examples of successful blacks. Not just the backwoods country people I was used to.
Also the older I get the more I realize the onus is on the brehs in their early 20's to move smart and set up these younger dudes coming up. We all know brehs who got hemmed up, caught charges etc. I'm 23 and been blessed to have a a career where I'm making good $$. But I came back and my boys still working part time, still playing 2k, still bullshytting
part of it is the lack of knowledge of what's beyond our country backwoods city, a poor economy, and Nikka's are just afraid to make moves.
More I learn the more I realize just how much my folks and grandparents didn't know, and yet they still managed to carve out a somewhat decent living. Now we got a wealth of info, there's no excuse to not be out here making moves to get some bread.
In short don't be a statistic
