Random rant.
So I don't have any school age children ( adults and babies)
But I hit up Walmart for tax free weekend to get school supplies to donate to my Mr"s old neighborhood (Sunnyside for anyone familiar with Houston)
Grab the lists they have
Jesus Lord. They need/want parents to buy everything except for toilet paper (but including nose blow tissue) for the kids!!
Taxes are insane here, partially under the guise of funding schools
Meanwhile it's not unusual at all for a HS to have a tens of millions of dollars football stadium- one mentioned being completed on the news this morning for 73 million.
Wtf
How are young and lower income parents supposed to afford all of this???
And a special bookbag
And pay for a gym uniform
And etc etc
Disgusting.
