The Earth, in antediluvian times, had "two seas"...the lower sea..the one that was laid as the deadly depths or the large bodies of oceans you currently see and the upper sea which was a heavy cloud canopy that covered the entire Earth. This canopy also promoted the removal of "seasons" as the sun's radiation was not able to penetrate to the Earth's surface as it can today, temperatures were constantly stable in the 70's to high 80's with humidity typically at 100%, night and day. Conditions like these were oppressive to early humans...at the moment, the Earth is slowly reverting to this state due to the interference of man and the Earth itself heating up.
In the time before the Deluge, 120 years (40 + 40 + 40) the period of probation magnified by the divine number of three..events such as pole reversals (four to five of them to be exact) occurred. This is created extreme abnormalities in the weather patterns of Earth as well as displacing the typically stable tectonic plates in the Earth's crust. The resulting earthquakes created tsunamis that eliminated a number of societies especially centered in what is now called "East Asia, the resting place of Dragons.", the displacement of large amounts of water with the quakes also began the process of reconfiguring the boundaries of the Earth's land masses. Mega storms, hurricanes, tornadoes were also rampant during this period. The final global catastrophe that took place was the failure of the upper atmosphere that held the plentiful moisture of the cloud canopy..the "breaking" of this cloud system is what allowed heavy rain to be displaced continually for days and days on end. This was called the Deluge, or what is known by Western standard as the Great Flood.
It is also wise to note that during this time when the Earth's critical life support systems were failing, mass social upheaval was taking place that inevitably led to the failure of great societies most notably, the nation state of Atlantis. Great wars also broke out during this chaos between nations like Atlantis and Lemuria using "solar" weapons or now known as nuclear weapons. The trinitite glass remnants of these explosions are hidden across the world...in the Sahara, Libya, in Northern India, Eastern Siberia, Iran and Antarctica to name a few. What needs to be acknowledge is that man is trying to prevent a recurrence of such an event but their efforts are actually expediting this process in which the Earth completely fails.
Grendel, I mentioned in your deep sea thread that they would return from up out of the depths, do you remember that? Remember what I said about the melting caps as well? There are terrible things frozen and imprisoned deep in those masses of ice and in the ocean depths that are going to be rising out soon. Ronald Reagan made the mistake of publicly mentioning the threat of an alien invasion in 1987, he and the Soviet Premier, Mikhail Gorbachev, took this serious enough to unify together in the midst of a Cold War to fight against it if it occurred.
