New hip hop heads are killing the culture. I say that because they're discrediting the Mount Olympus of Rap and refacing it. Eminem is a great rapper but black people don't connect with him so he can't be one of the GOAT rappers. If technical ability was the only factor for a GOAT there wouldn't be space in the HOF for Eminem.
Discrediting Pac, Jay, Nas etc means their is no standard anymore. I love Lil Wayne, but he ain't a GOAT either. Rappers like Logic and Joey BA are only considered great because they imitate golden Era back pack rap. They would be basic rappers in that Era because their songs aren't special. Their flow isn't special.
I find both to be boring because I grew up listening to the GOATS. Shout out Rakim, Nas, Jay, BIG, etc. Every rapper in the 90s and early 2000's could rap as they do.
My favorite rapper right now is Illmaculate and he'd chew these cats up technically. So would Onlyone and Nocando. There are BETTER rappers that evolved Eminem's flow.
They don't rhyme for the sake of rhyming which is what basic rappers do.
These new cats ain't got classic songs. The GOATS have classic albums. Case fukking closed. When one of these new nikkas makes a Juicy, Going Back to Cali, Ready 2 Die, or All Eyes on Me I'll start taking them seriously.
I enjoy their music but they're not special.
Kendrick is special. J Cole is kind of boring but he can rap.
