just found out my parents are getting a separation 
after 35 years of marriage don't really know how to feel about it.. but i want my mom to do what she needs to do to be happy. apparently my dad is just disconnected emotionally and won't get counseling... i definitely have some of the traits my dad has inherently (i'm more of a loner) but he has some narcissistic aspects about him too. kinda changes the way i feel about him a bit after hearing some stuff he said to my mom when she was going through hard times...he's always been a fukking incredible dad to me though, I guess he just has problems putting his wife before himself (narcissism) but he's always been there for us kids...I'm sad about it but my dad refuses to get into marriage counseling or anything so it's a lot of his fault...also weird to find about this on fathers day...all I want is my mom to be happy, but I also don't like the idea of her moving out and finding an apartment but she said she really needs her own space. They're in their early 60s by the way...but my mom has just been putting on a happy face for us kids, but i want her to do what she needs to do to be happy. Just don't expect these types of things after all those years. But as long as my momma finds the happiness she needs thats all I care about...Just a whole mixture of feelings now and now I have to go do fathers day stuff after a couple of the not so nice stories my mom told me about (just statements a narcissist would say, no physical abuse or anything like that) he just puts himself before his wife and that shouldn't be the case.....bleh... it's a lot to take in. And let me repeat, my father was the perfect dad growing up, we played catch, he's very loving. and such..bleh...not the best news to hear.
