You need to be sound mentally. Fiscally is a bonus and isn't needed but if you truly in a relationship and love someone and they need help how you gonna feel when you can't support them? What if they get sick?
Why mentally sound? Because you need to be strong for them. You need to be confident. They need to be able to confide and trust in you as you do them. Otherwise problems are gonna arise. You need to be okay with the fact that shyt ain't always gonna be 50/50. You need to be okay with the fact that the next damn day you could lose everything you put into it and got nothing in return. Or the fact that you could do everything right and it still just go wrong and end. There are very few people ready for that type of reality.
@Yusuke some people can't help that. Maybe they've been through things. Who the hell knows. Are you ready to be understanding and put up with what you gotta deal with in order to make it work? That's what love and relationships are. They're not fair. Are they great at times hell yeah but there's so many issues everyone overlooks and don't think about.
