No. I don't know why they are making a sequel lolWould y'all consider ATL a classic? I was thinking bout this recently.

Coming to America? Classic
The Color Purple? Classic.
Belly? Classic.
ATL? No.
It's about the same level as Stomp The Yard to me.
That's just a step up from a Madea movie.
It's hot as fukk in here
I wouldn't even say it's on the same level as Belly. Belly was NONstop suspense and drama with the most beautiful cinematography.Hood classic, maybe?
I agree, it aint no level of Coming To America or The Color Purple but if someone said it's on the same wavelength as Belly in terms of acting, I wouldn't argue that.
But I don't know why they making a sequel either. Seems corny.

I could see ATL being compared to The Player's Club or Friday but it doesn't have as many quotables as those two. So I'd still say those are better.
I was watching Belly last night. The acting + writing though
At least it was funny though
When I think of the character development also, ATL is the weakest of those I named. Belly had diverse complex characters. They could've even did a spin off movie based on Ox or Chiquita.Hmm, I could see that.
