New Ye aint all that polished at all honestly. He's pretty raw across the board.

This. Plus it's apparent he's happier with shooting off the hip with his music at this point. Don't know if it's genius or insanity.

This dude about to make me really buy a TIDAL subscription though.

Think this "adding on to the album" shyt has more to do with Tidal, promo, and bootlegging than anything else. Somewhat of a revolutionary move to be honest. You have to be inventive with your gimmicks nowadays. Jay-Z (MCHG) and Beyonce (surprise album) showed y'all the way. Yeezy just following suit, in his own little way. He owns the Internet right now, as far as music goes.

never could of imagined artists like rihanna and ye not having a clean album rollout

@AVthaPHARAOH is right about some of this possibly being promotional gimmicks especially since all of the artists that have done this recently are exclusive or have close ties to TIDAL.

Ye gonna be like George Lucas with Star Wars and start editing his albums way after the fact..

Watch him drop College Dropout again this summer saying its "how he truly envisioned the album, but wasnt able to achieve at the time of its original release"
He actually did that not long after the initial release :mjlol:

Small changes. They didn't have them saying "Get em High" through the whole song like the og version. More 808s in workout plan, etc

Is Kanye really pulling a George Lucas here? At some point, your artwork is done, your meal is cooked, etc. This actually isn't the first time he's done this. I think I had 2-3 versions of College Dropout, including the retail. He also remastered College Dropout and released it again, and if you go buy it now, that's the version you'll hear. I think he's talked about it with other albums too. he always tweaks them down to the wire. But at some point (once you release it and ppl pay for it), you've done what you've done and you gotta let it live. At that point it's everyone's art, not just yours.
