so many different capable heavyweight champions in the company. in 2024 we had Samoa Joe to start the year after beating MJF at World's End, then Swerve winning it at Dynasty, BD at All In, and Mox at Wrestle Dream. So 4 champions in total. Does that number get lower in 2025, stay the same, or get higher? With so many capable names, and with Mox being one of them since he starting the year as champ, how do you pick 3 like in 2024? I think if Mox loses the title by or at GS, that the next champ won't last past DON or at most All In. I think its best to cap it at 4 instead of playing hot potato with the title after every other ppv. So if Darby one of them, Ospreay likely the other, not sure who the fourth can be. Maybe another Swerve reign, or Hangman, or Okada, or Omega, or Lashley, or MJF? But I feel like those guys will all be able to cook without a title, long as they stay consistent and featured. give us a real good heavyweight champ with all those capable opponents and use them to build up the rest of the card on the side. plenty of people that can be rotated in and out as needed.
whats gonna be important is the lower card guys that can and have stepped up and gotten some shine, like DG, Takeshyta, Fletcher, Shelton, Hobbs, etc. Guys who may not get a hw title run in 2025 but can help out big time with the rest of the show.
