The one underlying theme with Lucha Bros, which I think Snowman is treading carefully on publicly, is the potential tampering going on from WWE to bring them in. There were reports of them agreeing to join WWE in June when their contracts ended and bragging about it in the locker room. Then Penta says "AEW is my present" which does absolutely nothing to dispel anything. Wouldn't surprise me if Snowman files some sort of tampering lawsuit against TKO in 2025 when Fenix does go over there. At least with Starks, who is blatantly obvious to be jumping ship in 2025, he's kept quiet publicly.

Either way, no excuse for Snowman to not use Fenix and Starks until their contracts run out.

I forget whether it was Jim Ross or Eric Bischoff, but on one of their podcasts, they said (at least in the 90's), there was a 30 day window at the end of someone's contract where they could negotiate elsewhere. No idea if that is still in place to a degree, but it's pretty clear with the Lucha Bros that something happened well before their contracts were initially set to expire.
