I don't even like lashley doing that but that cac shouldn't have been the one to ask that. To me sucees is being on a nationally syndicated show with a TV deal on top of it. Actually having regular TV matches, being in main event ppvs that people pay real money for. That's success to me and more than anyone in WWE is willing to do. I'm not even saying aew is perfect but at least they feature black wrestlers more from top to bottom. shyt we going through the 5th rebuild on the new day, Bianca basically being jades trainer on the job, Melo is being used as mid card fodder, trick still in nxt. I mean tell me I'm wrong about the booking of black wrestlers and I'll admit to being wrong on the main roster? Looks like to me you guys accepted nxt as being "good enough" for now but what's the move for the next 2yrs?
it's not a good situation across the board for black wrestlers in an industry that has largely been defined and been centered around literal white supremacists.

That said, the fact that literally 70% of the current pool of incoming talent going to the main from NXT the next few years would fail the paper bag test is a step in the right direction. Because once they're called up, if the booking goes out of its way to undermine them, then it's a clear vendetta and we can call it as such. But it's not going to go that way because HHH loves his NXT and is overjoyed it's now a canonical part of WWE. But with that means he has to now respect that very thing he's been wanting, and for the last 1-2 years NXT has been a CLEARLY black-dominant show. So while their track record for call-ups isn't stellar... Hunter's about to have his hands tied.

But there's no such accountability in AEW.
What's the plan there? To wait until WWE releases some of that black NXT talent so they can go sign them themselves?
Because literally all their top black talent that are actually getting wins lately came from the E.

NXT is AEW's developmental too :yeshrug: means EVERYONE should be cheering for NXT's success.
Either the talent makes it in the E and ends up something,
or they leave, go to AEW and hopefully end up something there.

NXT is the fulcrum point of black people in the industry right now :hubie:and it's weird as fukk that it's Shawn fukking Michaels doing it, but that's the world we live in. You want everyone to be happy for black folk succeeding in wrestling... welp. Until Khan figures his shyt out and makes a developmental and starts building himself some stars for the future who have no need for SPF, seems to be that the entirety of the minority representation for AEW hinges on hoping WWE continues to waste black talent. Because if they don't... there is no Plan B for Tony Khan to get more black wrestlers currently.

Look what he's done with Bryan Keith.

ROH should be the developmental for AEW. Not sure what TK is trying to do with the company. Maybe he is trying (and failing) to get them on MAX.

Black wrestlers have been getting tv time heavily in AEW over the last 2-3 months. They just had a PPV with 9 black wrestlers on the card. 12 if you include Nana, Shelton and MVP ringside.

Complained about lack of black talent featured on a program, now they are and of course the booking is a problem even though Swerve and Bob are a featured feud and 3 black wrestlers are current AEW champs.

Can’t win with the marks. :unimpressed:

So, I see the "Let's not take this shyt so seriously" part of the thread title is ignored. :mjlol:

Might as well bring back the money mark thread :dead:

shyt let it all fly for acrobatic make believe sports.

But on the real, this gotcha shyt concerning black wrestlers is gross AF and it's no different from the goofy cacs that look at College Football and treat the black players like Tecmo Bowl pixels.

Like heavens forbid there's some black wrestlers like Starks that actually want to do more, than play Candy Crush at home.

Heavens forbid that the black fanbase and fellow white folks want black wrestlers to do more than get "here nikka damns".

shyt just last week Tony Khan was gloating about having black wrestlers like WTF is this gotcha shyt :why: .

The fact that this shyt is getting wild heated to the point we are downgrading black folks because they not bowing the knee, is the fukkING reason why Trump is in office.

Heads need to do better and seek some soul searching because it's not that serious.

The Ricky Starks timeline is hilarious to look at & see people constantly talk about "what else are you supposed to do with him?"

People act like he went to the Rumble with Cody & immediately got shut down because everyone knows he is leaving so why bother with him.

Hold on. As brother above me noted: back to Ricky a second.
...Didn't Marina just work CGW Bloodsport this week? :jbhmm:

Of that's different.gif

A friend of Mox, is a friend indeed.

Maybe Starks gotta sacrifice a goat and do witchcraft so he can do a GCW show, as part of Mox's blessings.

Such a shame in this world, in order to prosper you got to know the right people to get ahead.

In Starks case, the people that are right are not alright with old friends.
