I wonder how much of MJF getting over was due to him being gone for as much as he is and then the idea he was seriously considering WWE only to choose AEW instead.
I dont think any of that played a part in it. That feud he had with Cody that put him on the map was in I think the first six months of AEW, Then the feud with Punk which was great.

The Jericho stuff was somewhere around there which was ehhhh.

The “pipebomb” and him going away for that time is what turned him for sure though.

Daniel Garcia reminds me a LOT of Orton in 04

He should have been a made man in AEW after that storyline with Bryan & Jericho but thats more about AEW not being able to sustain anybody that gets over (aside from maybe MJF & Swerve. They’ve fukked up Darby’s momentum a couple times.)

Garcia
The Acclaimed
Wardlow
Britt
Take
Starks
Hobbs
Hook
Etc.

Are all people that they should be able to rely on to main event TV weekly if needed.

Tony is the master of start stop pushes

I kind of see it as he has his favorites obviously so he tries to do something with someone who gets over on there own then right before they really get going he cools them down for whatever reason

I see him no different from Vince on that aspect

The Acclaimed
Starks
Hobbs
Wardlow

All got over on there own and looked what happened you had six bonafide stars & flopped each one one them only could hope MVP can save Hobbs

Reminds you of ‘04 Orton:gucci: not knocking you but I don’t see it:hubie:

Easily the pizza guy because somehow Tazz kept stiffing him out of a tip.

So the idea was to do an takeover story while still in a takeover storyline to gain interest while the first one wasn’t getting anyone invested in the company in the first place:what:

And it’s the third time this year they’re doing this story this year :gucci:

Acknowledgment that no one gives a shyt about The Bucks, so they need to do it with Mox who, possibly, no one gives a shyt about either. Idk

This is evident. The real question is who came up with the idea of changing the original plan and focusing on BCC/Moxley.

Ibou was basically hinting that Moxley was totally over AEW and TV pro wrestling in general before this and was threatening to quit unless they went along with his pitch

American Moxley X sounds like a Karen.

it was more so that he was a lot more passionate about doing that Bloodsport indie shyt lately and not the WWE/AEW TV style of wrestling but clearly he watched a movie and got inspired creatively. Dunno if he ever got a rematch with that GameStop employee that tapped him out at the BJJ tournament.

his whole thing lately is how much political power Roman and Mox have in their respective companies compared to Seth and how they can completely call their shots, Mox even moreso given there's no Dwayne or Cody to have to consider as well

It kinda sounds like carny bullshyt to me.

Mox is basically gifted the IWGP Title because he has nothing going on and with that belt he could work overseas and different shows outside of AEW.

Then he losses the belt, doesn't feel like doing "mainstream TV" wrestling until all of a sudden he comes up with an idea that, shocker, puts the AEW World Title around his waist again?

That's great politicking on his part. I bet he still feels TK "owes him" for the Punk feud and then the transitional title reign to put MJF over when he was supposed to take a vacation:heh:

Regardless, I have no interest in the Mox & Friends vs the world angle they are doing right now. Hopefully it works for the company so all this bullshyt was at least worth it.
