Nah, it is just the heat of the moment. Mayweather-McGregor is going to be a terrible fight. Good if you want to see McGregor and his fans get beat down. But it is an exploitation of dumb casuals to make money. More power to the fighters, but after Floyd crushes him you aren't left with anything to look mn forward to from that fight.
We just came off a good fight with Ward-Kovalev and in September you will have GGG-Canelo. That fight will bring anyone's boxing passion back. I was thinking that the atmosphere for the fight in Australia seemed lame as fukk. Was weird to have a big fight fought in bright daylight, with an arena that had fans so spread out, and fans who were just happy to get a show. It was totally missing that bubbling energy that makes the energy pop through h the screen. GGG-Canelo is going to be live as fukk (Mayweather-McGregor will be as well...until Connor looks like a dude in his first amateur fight). That GGG-Canelo energy is going to bring chills. The ring walks, fighter intros, the first round.
Thing is, I like the sport itself. Nothing is wrong with the sport itself when you take it for what it is.
What's wrong are all the BS robberies. I never liked them, even when it comes to fighters I don't like getting robbed, it always felt cheap.
Even with Ward-Kovalev II, one of the judges had Kovalev ahead on 3 rounds, the other two Ward only by 1 point, when it seemed pretty clear Ward was winning. Had that fight gone on longer, who knows what they'd have ruled it as.
Fights where nothing is left up to the judges are my favorite fights - which I'm glad Ward won that fight by. Another reason why I got interested in the first place was because Mike Tyson was destroying everyone.
While in some cases there's some controversy in a stoppage, it doesn't have the same potential factors fights going the distance have.
Main gripe -> Any decision-oriented win just leaves room for denial by both sides, and everyone can have their perspectives why a certain fighter "should" have won or lost instead. Then people just start nitpicking.
There aren't many ways fans of either side can flip a fighter winning by knockout.
As I get older and more tired from BS decisions, it's just been too much for me. If I ever do watch fights again, I'm just going to start counting knockouts as wins only. While it's not "official" I don't care, it'll be my personal opinion.

Horn is Sam Soliman 2.0IDK what fight y'all were watching, to me Horn VERY OBVIOUSLY made things extremely uncomfortable for Pacquiao in that ring and this fight honestly could have gone either way. nikkas shyt on Horn but really, how do you know how good this nikka is?
