Vince setting up the ultimate swerve by allowing them to show the match as a make good on pulling Taker & Angle, but releasing it on the network the day before would be the most Vince thing possible. Just fukking with them because why not type of move.

Magee must have a pretty good sense of humor about how his wrestling run turned out if he's agreeing to show up to be apart of something that is built around people seeing how trash he was & how Bret carried it. Smug ass serious Bret might fukk around & say some shyt about how great he was to be able to pull off such a miracle, Tom just sitting there :shaq2: figuring out just what he really signed up for.

They really airing this like 2 weeks before Starrcast

Dont tell me Cokeboy aint petty

IMO the crowd checking it out on the network is going to be different than the crowd who's going to be watching it at Starrcast. Don't think anyone under 30 cares about this unless they are a die hard to be honest.

Those are the same people that give a shyt about seeing this live, breh.

And besides, the whole event is built off of it being the match that WWE doesn't want to acknowledge.

This company is so ridiculously fukking petty :mjlol:

I believe the person who just recently found the tape (was assistant of Bret's way back and dealt with backing up all his tapes to digital for him) inquired to WWE about sharing it to the public, and apparently they could not find their own copy of it. So they likely worked out a deal to get a copy.

Now is WWE showing this match ASAP to be petty before Starrcast, or are they just in the business of pumping out new content when they acquire it?

Starrcast announced last week MacGee and Hart were gonna do a show at the event showing the match for the first time.

WWE has always had a copy of this match not just Bret's assistant. Theres certain matches they've kept in a vault that are hard to acquire

They being petty, this is second thing they've done just to fukk with them after clearly being okay before (pulling Kurt and Taker off the event)

Funny thing is they really think its an AEW event when Starrcast is just a fan convention that loosely tied by having it take place the weekend of AEW show but not actually part of them.

They were already in talks of getting a copy of the match well before it was announced for Starrcast.

Doesnt sound like they wanted to get it

In fact if you read the other news at the time of her tweets finding it, there was still a heavy cease and desist on anyone who had a copy of the tape.
In fact Conrad said getting the Ok to air the tape at Starrcast was seen as a make do on Taker/Angle being nixed

At some point we need to stop giving WWE a pass for openly doing things in bad faith

Also I call buillshyt on those WWE employees. They specifically may not have had it but this was a match that people had locked for ages and some in the company were simply mum about

Nah there plenty of other things to shyt on WWE about atm, like the Lars Sullivan situation. I don't even watch the product right now but I'm not pitchforking them on this when there's no proof. It's not like the whole world been clamoring about this match, only real real old heads MIGHT be interested in seeing this, just because of the lore involved. And people aren't going to Starrcast just to see this match, so they lose no money.
