In the 90's Munch was like the anti tv cop, he was Jewish, sarcastic and had a dry sense of humor. I remember his character being on 6 or 7 different shows. But yes the Wire and Homicide do share a universe somewhat, a lot of the Wire's actors got started on Homicide, but if I'm not mistaken they were 2 different precincts both in Baltimore. I would assume Law and Order takes place in the same Universe as well because a lot of the writers, producers and directors were on Homicide.

Munch and Ice T should've been the stars of SVU instead of Stabler and Benson.

Why is it that the secondary Law and Order characters always have more personality than the mains? Even on Criminal Intent, Mike Logan > Bobby The Brain Goren.

Maybe the autistic char in St. Elsewhere had contact with 'real' people in his Universe. Althought the events of St. Elsewhere were imagined by the kid, the 'real' people the kid was fantisizing about have adeventures outside of the daydream - completely oblivious to it
