I think this past week's episode was the first time I wasn't really feeling Bella's acting. She was great in the first season, as good as the videogame version for me.

Doesn't mean I want her replaced or anything, it's only one episode out of seven. All the calls to replace her with Cailee Spaeny or someone else never made much sense to me, she's just as short as Ramsey and probably weighs even less. Spaeny trying to act like a bad ass wouldn't be much different than what we have now.

Cailee Spaeny looks like the real-life version of game Ellie. That's why many people would've preferred her (myself included). However, that ship sailed a long time ago.

Anyway, I mentioned this earlier, but the Ellie so far in season 2 seems to be the same Ellie from season 1, which is odd. Shouldn't she be more mature?

Yeah I get it, she was essentially playing Ellie in Romulus. She would have most likely loved being in TLOU herself, seeing as the series put a rocket ship up Pedro Pascal's ass in terms of popularity and would have done the same for her status.

I think most critics who saw the entire season said Ramsey was still one of the highlights so hopefully she was under strict direction to act that way in the first episode.

3 different people on reddit and x have called me that for criticizing this beluga-looking bish

It's all projection with these people

Bella's acting is off to. That scene with Tommy in that courtroom looking place she's talking and moving her fingers around looks so childish and autisty. She's a bad actress. Even her annunciation is shytty, she mumbles her lines sometimes. Can't believe HBO gave a goddamn Game of Thrones EXTRA one of the most expensive shows of all time.

Meh I aint harping on her face too much she cant help that and she did a pretty good job s1.

My issue is she still looks and acts 14 which is partly on the writers too. The showwriters trolling in our faces in general. The type of shyt ellie was on is never ever going to be believable if this is the rendition bella is going with. Its going to border on parody

She matures and snaps out of her haze once a certain major event occurs.

There have already been numerous traumatic events that have happened in Ellie's life already. A "certain major event"* shouldn't have to happen to cause that.

*(yes, I know what that is referring to)

That's sometimes the problem when casting Brits and other non-Americans to play Americans (except Canadians, obviously).

They have to think about what they're saying to hide their accent. So sometimes they mumble their lines or slip up on certain words.
